How to get through a break-up as told by Bridget Jones
"Alllllllll by myself....dont wanna be alllll by myself anymore" (you know the infamous song by Celine Dion) as it plays in the background of your apartment. The guy you just spent 7 months with, broke up with you and used the line "its not you, its me" and you sat there listening to this pathetic guy's bullshit, you loved him, you put in 110% effort in the relationship and you had dreams of being with him and later you find out he was cheating on you with your best friend....( this may or may not be what your dealing with but you get where i'm coming from). Anyway I got through my break-up a year and half ago and Bridget Jones Diary changed my life and here's why...
1.) after listening to songs you know relate to your break-up you realized all you nee is vodka and Chaka Khan orrrrr wine and Jessie James Decker.
2.) you go to mixers, date parties, actually any party and your there because you think you can party your worries away and find a cute boy to make out with....well at the end of the night this is you ^
3.) Then after a month you go back a think about the break-up and what you wished you had said to that bastard when you had the chance and you come up with a line like this and hope you see him again spontaneously so you can tell him...well that might not happen but its nice to know your already half way there!
4.) you buy yo self a diary and you start a to-do list to improve yourself in order to make him jealous but really your doing this for you and you promise yourself you wont date anymore "bad boys" and you get your priorities straight. you start working out, going out more, you dye your hair, you wax EVERYTHING and you go on a shopping spree and get a new sexy you!
5.) Then when you least expect it ( a boy you choose to make out with at yet another party) later falls in love with you and yikes! your in love too! love has found you again because that's the process of life, if one bastard leaves you in the dust well honey you wont be lonely very long, and who knows this next one might be "the one".
so never give up, a break-up is honestly a door opening for you to meet the person your supposed to be with in the end, it might not take a week, a month, a year but he's out there and you will meet the right guy when you least expect it!
xo,
Maria
