Best books to read on a rainy day
My good friends Kayley, Emily and Amanda are aficionados at reading and always recommend the best books, but to be honest I only like to read when I’m in side, it’s raining and I’m cozy, so here are our top picks! enjoy
Atonement- by Ian McEwan, wow, this book will make your heart ache and then run fast with anticipation, two lovers, a jealous younger sister, who ultimately delays probably one of the best love stories ever told.
Tuck everlasting-by Natalie Babbitt, a book about a young girl who stumbles upon a boy and his family that can never age due to water they drank in a watering hole, what seems like a blessing (to never age) they show her it is actually a curse.
Girl on a train-by Paula Hawkins, this addicting psychological thriller will keep you wanting to turn the pages faster than your fingers can take you, I highly recommend it
13 reasons why- by Jay Asher, two weeks before the events, a young Hannah Baker took her life, but just before doing so she kept recordings of why, 13 to be exact. All the reasons involve, cruel treatment by school mates, misunderstandings and guilty acts of omission. It’s an amazing book and at the end you really think about how you could impact someone’s life without evening know it.
Redeeming Love-Francine Rivers, a man seeking god, asking what is missing with his life… a woman, and a prostitute. Good af
Girl with the dragon tattoo – by Stieg Larsson, ONE of my FAV books of all time!!! I love the mystery, the bad-ass’ness of the main character Lisbeth, and the shocking truth behind the disappearance of Harriet.. only Mikael and Lisbeth can solve the mystery, but staying alive will be the real challenge.
I hope you enjoy my friend’s recommendations!
